Nomura has maintained its Buy rating on Alibaba Group Holding (BABA) with a USD178 target price after the company’s 2026 Cloud Conference, where management set out an integrated AI stack spanning models, chips and cloud capacity. The most consequential disclosure was a target to operate 20GW of global data-centre capacity by 2032, roughly five times Nomura’s current estimate of about 4GW. Nomura argues the target reinforces the long-term growth potential of Alibaba Cloud and its external AI-cloud revenue.
