Bernstein on CXMT: G5 Narrows Node Gap, Outperform Reiterated — TP CNY 70

Bernstein has reiterated its Outperform rating on CXMT Corp (688825.CH) with a price target of CNY 70, after the Chinese memory maker announced mass production of its G5 DRAM node on 20 September 2026. The broker judges G5’s 11.95nm half active-area pitch to be on a par with the smallest dimension of incumbents’ latest 1c/1y nodes, but says volume shipment records are still needed to prove the yield question is solved. G4 remains the workhorse of the thesis, with Bernstein arguing it is already good enough to win share and deliver peer-comparable margins while memory prices stay elevated.
