Wedbush on AXT Inc: AI Optical Demand Drives Outperform — $93 PT

Wedbush Securities has reiterated its Outperform rating and $93 12-month price target on AXT Inc (AXTI) after the compound semiconductor substrate maker reported second-quarter results that comfortably beat both its own guidance and consensus. AXTI posted Q2 revenue of $47.6M against roughly $34M guided, with non-GAAP EPS of $0.19 versus a $0.06–$0.08 guide. The broker argues that management’s long-standing investment in indium phosphide (InP) capacity, intellectual property and technical capability has positioned AXTI to capture an AI-driven optical demand cycle that remains in its early innings.
