Intel Upgrade to Neutral: What It Means for INTC

In a report on Intel’s upgrade to Neutral as the turnaround takes shape, the analysis argues that the case for remaining negative on Intel (INTC) has weakened materially. The central claim is arithmetic as much as fundamental: with the stock down about 36% from its June peak versus a 20-25% retreat across the group, and trading within roughly 5% of the report’s Dec-27 valuation anchor, the downside that justified an Underweight stance since November 2022 has largely been realised. During that period, the SMH, SOX, AVGO and AMD outperformed INTC by 65%, 37%, 115% and 148% respectively.
